Thanksgiving Apple Turkey Craft For Kids

This is a great craft kids can make Thanksgiving day while they wait for the real turkey to finish cooking. The finished turkey also makes for a healthy desert. These would also make cute place cards if you write each person’s name on the apple with tick cake decorating gel.

You’ll Need

* 1 apple
* 1 large and 5 mini marshmallows
* 12 raisins
* 6 toothpicks
* 1 piece of candy corn

Directions:

Put an apple stem side up on a flat surface. Remove the stem. Put 2 raisins and 1 mini marshmallow each on 5 of the toothpicks. Use the remaining two raisins and the candy corn to turn the large marshmallow into the turkeys face and stick it on a toothpick as well. Using the picture as a guide, stick the toothpicks with the marshmallows into the apple, lining up the 5 mini marshmallow picks to form the turkeys tail behind the stem indentation on the apple and the turkey’s face on the opposite side of the indentation.

    Does anyone have a peanut free idea for the beak on the apple turkey craft?

    how about a jelly bean or other small peanut free candy? You could also get some gum drops and squish one into a beak shape and then push it into the marshmallow.

Got something to say?
