You’ll Need

* Felt in different colors
* Glue
* Scissors
* Yarn, Embroidery Floss etc.
* Wiggly Eyes
* Construction Paper
* Markers
* Buttons

Directions:

Cut a rectangular piece out of felt that’s large enough to wrap around your child’s finger. Round off the top edges and glue the edges together, leaving the bottom open. This felt tube makes the basic finger puppet shape.

Glue on wiggly eyes, draw a mouth (or use a small piece of red felt). Yarn or string will make hair and you can cut clothes out of different colors of felt (or use fabric).

Tip:
Make a stage for these finger puppets out of a cardboard box by cutting out on side, painting a background and the outside of the box. Add some fabric curtains and the puppet theater stage is ready for the first performance.
