You'll Need
  • assorted leaves, the more colorful, the better
  • wax paper
  • iron
  • towel

colorful fall leaves

Directions:

Collect some colorful leaves during a walk or hike.

With adult supervision, set the iron to medium heat. Fold a piece of wax paper in half, open it back up and arrange several leaves on one side. Fold the other side back over the leaves. Put your towel on the ironing board to protect it, then lay the wax paper with the leaves inside on top and iron until the paper seals around the leaves. Let the paper cool for a few minutes.

You can create fun leaf collages using this process that will preserve the leaves.
