Directions:
Start by collecting some colorful fall
leaves in all kinds of shapes and sizes. Bring them home and lay them
out on the kitchen table. Wipe off any dirt on the leaves.
Cut two circles (of the same size) out
of the wax paper. Arrange some of the leaves on one of the circles. Make
sure the waxy side is up. Lay the other one on top, waxy side down. The
leaves will now be sandwiched between the two layers of wax paper with
the waxy side facing the leaves.
Put your wax paper circles on an old
towel and cover it with the towel as well. Then use the iron to melt the
waxy part of the wax paper. We use the towel to protect the iron -
otherwise some of the wax would burn into your iron.
Let the leaf sun catcher cool, then
poke a hole in the top, add some string and hang it in a window.
