Cola Pork Chops

* 1 cup ketchup
* 1 cup cola-flavored carbonated beverage
* 2 tablespoons brown sugar
* 8 pork chops
* salt and pepper to taste

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Mix together the ketchup, cola and brown sugar.
3. Place pork chops into a baking pan and pour cola mixture over, coating well. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
4. Bake for about one hour depending on the thickness of the pork chop.

Pork Chop Pouches

* 4 pork chops
* 4 potatoes, quartered
* 1 ear corn – husked, cleaned and quartered
* 3 tablespoons soy sauce
* 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
* 3 tablespoons water
* 1 onion, chopped
* 1 clove garlic, minced
* 1/8 cup dried bread crumbs

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Place pork chops on a lightly greased large square of aluminum foil. Place potatoes and corn around chops. Pour soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and water over all. Then distribute the onion and garlic amongst the chops and veggies; top by sprinkling bread crumbs and dry seasonings of your choice over all.
3. Close foil around all and seal tightly. Place foil pouch in a 9×13 inch baking dish lines with another sheet of aluminum foil, in case of spilling. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. The pouch provides ‘self-basting’, so you need only remove from the oven and serve!

Cheeseburger Meatloaf

* 2 pounds ground beef
* 3/4 cup fresh bread crumbs
* 1/2 cup minced onion
* 2 eggs, beaten
* 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
* 1 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
* 3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the beef, bread crumbs, onion, eggs, salt and pepper, and mix well. Pat out meat mixture into a 14×18 inch rectangle on a piece of wax paper. Spread cheese over the meat, leaving a 3/4 inch border around the edges. Roll up jelly roll fashion to enclose the filling and form a pinwheel loaf. Press beef in on both ends to enclose the cheese. Place in a 10×15 inch baking dish.
3. Bake in the preheated oven 1 hour, or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

Easy Cube Steaks

* 4 (1/2 pound) cube steaks (pounded round meat)
* 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed French onion soup

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, briefly brown the cube steaks.
3. Arrange meat in a single layer in a 13×9 inch baking dish and pour the soup over the top. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.

Warm Taco Salad Recipe

Kids love these tacos and they are easy and fast to make. We love taco salads, so this warm taco salad recipe was a match made in heaven.

INGREDIENTS:

* 2 pounds ground beef
* 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
* 1/2 16-ounce bag tortilla chips (or Nacho Dorito’s)
* 1 small onion chopped
* 1 medium tomato chopped
* 1/2 head lettuce chopped
* Sauce
* 4 tablespoons butter
* 4 tablespoons flour
* 2 cups milk
* 1 pound velveta cheese

DIRECTIONS:

Brown Hamburger, drain, add taco seasoning mix and set aside.

Crush chips into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread hamburger mixture over chips.

Layer onion, tomato and lettuce on top of hamburger.

In a large saucepan melt butter. Stir in flour and stir continuously until smooth. Stir in milk. Bring to a boil – stirring constantly and boil one minute. Add Velveta Cheese and stir until melted. Pour sauce over casserole.

Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until bubbly.
