Preschool Mother’s Day Gift

Preschool aged kids can make this cute Mother’s Day Gift. It makes a sweet treat for Mother on her special day.

You’ll Need

* Metal Whisk
* Hershey’s Kisses
* Ribbon
* Scissors
* Card Stock Paper
* Pen
* Crayons & Stickers

Directions:

Have your preschooler fill the wire whisk with Hershey’s kisses.

Cut a card from the card stock. Write “Whisking you a Happy Mother’s Day full of Hugs and Kisses” and help your preschooler sign his or her name. Let them decorate the card with crayons and stickers. Make a small hole in one corner of the card and use ribbon to tie it around the handle of the whisk.

Preschool Finger Puppets

To make these preschool finger puppets, you’ll just need a handful of supplies and you and you’re kids will be ready to put on a finger puppet show.

You’ll Need

* Felt in different colors
* Glue
* Scissors
* Yarn, Embroidery Floss etc.
* Wiggly Eyes
* Construction Paper
* Markers
* Buttons

Directions:

Cut a rectangular piece out of felt that’s large enough to wrap around your child’s finger. Round off the top edges and glue the edges together, leaving the bottom open. This felt tube makes the basic finger puppet shape.

Glue on wiggly eyes, draw a mouth (or use a small piece of red felt). Yarn or string will make hair and you can cut clothes out of different colors of felt (or use fabric).

Tip:
Make a stage for these finger puppets out of a cardboard box by cutting out on side, painting a background and the outside of the box. Add some fabric curtains and the puppet theater stage is ready for the first performance.

Preschool Chick Craft

This cute little baby chicken activity is just write for your young child. It’s quick and easy to make and your toddler or preschooler will love how cute it turns out.

You’ll Need

* egg carton
* two yellow cotton balls
* orange construction paper
* two small wiggly eyes
* glue

Directions:

Cut one egg cup out of the egg carton holder for your child. Let her glue both cotton balls into the cup – one on top of the other. Cut or tear a small beak out of the orange construction paper and help your child glue it on as a beak. Finish the baby chick by gluing the wiggly eyes on.

For Easter you and your child can make a few of these little chicks and set them in a basket of green Easter grass. Or make this cute Easter basket and set your little chick in it.
