Mother's Day Preschool Crafts

Your preschooler can create some cute gifts for Mom this mother’s day. All he or she needs are a few crafting supplies and a little help from a grown up. Let’s take a look at some of these craft ideas, so you can start working on this year’s Mother’s Day present.

Macaroni Jewelry Box
Any small box with a lid will do. I like to use the cardboard boxes that Brie cheese comes in for this. Get a few different types of dry pasta, like macaroni, bow tie pasta, penne etc.
Spread Elmer’s glue over a small area of the box and let your preschooler decorate with the dry pasta. Once the entire box is covered, spray-paint it with silver or golden spray paint.

Paint a T-Shirt For Mom
Get a plain white T-shirt and some fabric paint. If you’d like you can pick a nice photo of mom and the kids and transfer on the T-shirt with special photo transfer paper, or take it to your local copy or photo shop and have them imprint the shirt with the image.

Older kids can write “Happy Mother’s Day” or their name on the shirt. For preschoolers, paint their hands in paint and have them add handprints to the shirt. After the paint had a chance to dry, come back with a fabric marker and write each child’s name on the handprint.

Decorate a Picture Frame
Get a plain, simple picture frame at your local discount store, use seashells, dried flowers, small rocks etc. to decorate the frame with your preschooler. Add mom’s favorite picture to the frame and you have a great present for your little one to give Mom on her big day.

These are just a few ideas for things you can make for Mother’s day. Visit our Kids Crafts section for even more ideas.
