Fun Summer Crafts

With the weather starting to get nice, we've been working on more and more outdoor crafts, or fun summer crafts. There are so many "messy" things you can do outside that you would never consider letting your child play with inside.

Here are a few to outside crafts to get you started. I'll be adding more as we get further into the summer of course.

Summer Fun -

Sidewalk Chalk
Sidewalk Chalk is always a favorite in our house. Our daughter and her friends spend hours drawing flowers and butterflies on the driveway. You and your kids can make your own sidewalk chalk with this recipe.

You can also help them draw a simple little hopscotch, or draw a "dartboard" on the driveway and have them toss small rocks to see who can get theirs to land in the center circle.

Sidewalk Paint
For a great, messy and fun alternative to sidewalk chalk, try this homemade sidewalk paint. It is lots of fun and washes off with plain water.

Have a fun and colorful start of summer.
