All about Fruit

Summer is such a perfect time to use various fruits as a snack for your kids. I recently came a cross a couple of great ways to serve fruit in a fun and interesting way.

Fruit Rollups

You'll need:
  • your favorite fruits (or anything in season)
  • flour tortillas
  • lime or lemon juice
  • some jam or jellie

Directions:

Cut up your fruit. I like using strawberries, apples, bannanas, peaches, grapes and cantaloupe, but you can use any combination of fruit you like. Cut them in bite-size pieces. Toss the cut up fruit with a little lime or lemon juice to keep the fruit from turning dark. Grab a tortilla and spread some jam or jellie on it. add some fruit and fold and roll the tortilla like you would a burrito.

Fruit Kebabs

You'll need

  • various fruit
  • kebab sticks
  • vanilla yogurt

Directions

Just cut up your fruit and put them on your kebab sticks. Serve with little vanilla yogurt as a dipping sauce.

Both these recipes work great as deserts on a family picknick.
