Just for Mom - This week's theme? Oranges!!!

June is getting closer and I am really looking forward to summer. I also just bought a bag of wonderful oranges. They make a great breakfast or snack, but you can also use them to soften your skin in the tub.

Do you remember the Orange Julius you used to be able to get at the mall? I've found a great recipe this week that recreates the taste in your own kitchen.

Put your orange julius together and sip it in a warm citrus bath.

ORANGE JULIUS

Ingredients
1 - 6 oz. can frozen orange juice 1 cup milk 1 cup water 1/4 cup sugar (or less to taste) 1 tsp. vanilla 5 - 6 ice cubesProcedure

Place all ingredients in blender. Blend about 30 seconds. Serve.

Here is the recipe for the Citrus Soak Spa recipe:

Citrus Bath Soak

3 cups sea salt
1 cup dried Milk
1 lemon
1 orange
2 drops orange esstial oil
3 drops lemon essential oil

Slice orange and lemon into thin slices. Put them in a bowl, add the essential oils and 1 tbs sea salt. Mix well and let marinate for 5 minutes.
In a seperate bowl combine remaining sea salt and dried milk. Add this mixture to the citrus and stir well. Add this mixture to your bath and relax.

After all this relaxing, you may be in the mood for a light desert after lunch or dinner. Try the Citrus - Yogurt Sundaes

Citrus - Yogurt Sundaes

1 tsp. freshly grated grapefruit peel
2 grapefruit, peeled and sectioned
2 oranges, peeled and cut into half-cartwheel slices
2 bananas, sliced
1 cup blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, or seedless grapes
1 tsp. sugar
ΒΌ tsp. ground cinnamon

To make one portion:
Combine the yogurt, orange and grapefruit peels; cover and chill.
In a large bowl, combine all the remaining ingredients; cover and chill.
To serve, spoon fruit mixture into individual dessert dishes and top with the yogurt.

Have a great and relaxing weekend.
